We are the for-free magazine for all grade 10-12 students in South Africa..
Our editorial line is one of providing 'edutainment'. Some good tips of how to get through and fun and tech and science and world-news and more.
We pride ourselves of having been around for 15 years now - and still being read!
We publish everything online, also on Facebook and X but we also do 4 print issues per year.
We stick to 64 pages for now, but hey - that can change.
Of course it is exciting and that is why we see a lot of high-school students writing for us. It is a chance to get to be known and have something worthwhile on the CV - while still in school.
“We’re goin’ up, up, up, it’s our moment,” proclaim virtual girl band Huntr/x in their hit song “Golden.” And the lyrics couldn’t have been more apt as the song from Netflix megahit “Kpop Demon Hunters” made history on Sunday by claiming K-Pop’s first-ever Grammy.
“Golden” was already a global chart-dominating force, but taking home the Best Song Written for Visual Media award in Los Angeles is a milestone moment for K-pop – a genre that despite its growing influence on Western pop culture has long been considered niche.

Ever wondered about why music can make us cry? Or wanting to dance? Or break out in song? Why is music so emotional?
We want to be surprised. If we expect a piece of music to do something and it does something else, we can be surprised. And that may make us feel good. Or our expectations can be met and we feel good because we could predict something. This is a bit deep, I know.
And here is the bigger one of them all: AWE.
This is a direct quote from the article: “Music often makes us feel like crying, because we experience a sense of awe and admiration..And what about crying? If you have not had a bit of broken voice after Titanic, you are not human! When Jack …. Oh, I can’t even write about it! – so we know what we are talking about here.
BIC is launching its Back-to-School campaign:
'Let your ink-side out!'
This year's focus is self-expression.
“Let Your Ink-Side Out is more than a slogan; it’s a rallying cry for students across the country to embrace who they are and explore who they can become,” says Amy Whittam, Marketing Manager for BIC® Stationery, South Africa
